On the 8th of February, H.E. Vahagn Afyan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to India, visited the Armenian pavilion present at the 39th Surajkund International Crafts Mela.
The annual event, held in an area adjacent to the city of Faridabad in India’s Haryana state, has featured Armenia on a regular basis among other countries since 2014. This year as well, with the support of the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, and under the leadership of Armenuhi Khachatryan, master craftswoman of the Hovhannes Sharambeyan Museum of Folk Arts, masters of embroidery and lace-making represented Armenia at the festival.
The pavilion showcased Armenian textiles, embroidered works, samples of decorative and applied arts, and souvenirs, all of which drew the attention of numerous visitors.
